Conference isn’t enough?! Join us for post-conference training!

Did you know – 2ndQuadrant has the largest single, collection of PostgreSQL experts of any company globally?!

With a team of some of the best known developers, they all still actively contribute to the progressive development of PostgreSQL. Would you like to have access to some of the most knowledgeable and experienced people available? The 5432…MeetUs! post-conference training is your chance!

In addition to the Kanban System Design training course with Dragos Dumitriu we mentioned last week, there will be a variety of other training courses in the days following the 5432…MeetUs! conference.  When you attend a course with 2ndQuadrant, you learn from experts who understand PostgreSQL, the platforms, programs, and languages at the deepest level.

Learn in depth about the tasks that a database administrator faces daily, including basic operations and intermediate techniques. Or, if you would like, you can get more advanced with Barman and learn about the important aspects surrounding disaster recovery for PostgreSQL-based systems. You will browse the technologies that compose the specific implementations of PostgreSQL including logical backup, physical backup, and Point-In-Time recovery.

If you’re looking for a more challenging course, join Gianni Ciolli to examine the solutions available in PostgreSQL for replication. This course will cover both log-shipping technology (Warm/Hot Standby, streaming replication, synchronous replication) and statement-based technology (Slony, Londiste), as well as the main related topics.

For those of you in the GIS world, there is a PostGIS basics course in which you will learn how to import a PostgreSQL database and the tools that are provided by PostGIS to manage it. You will also discuss database optimisation through indexing based on proximity and spatial location.

Whether for your own personal development or to support your organisation’s forthcoming projects, join us after 5432…MeetUs! and learn PostgreSQL skills from the people who know best!  For more information visit the training page of conference website.

To register for a training course simply go to the page of the training you would like to attend and you will find the eventbrite window readily available at the bottom of the page.

If you have questions regarding the trainings offered, please e-mail [email protected]
